CAD contains creating computers models defined by computers
models and also used to control a number of manufacturing processes. To create
and modify drawing created in AutoCAD is one of the most important skills a
young design student can master. Auto Cad is computer-aided drafting software
that is used to create precise2 and 3 dimensional drawings used in construction
and manufacturing. You can use most-recent version of Auto CAD on you Mac or
PC.
Some Steps to learn
how to use AutoCAD-:
When we start to use AutoCAD first of all we have to decide
what project we want to use AutoCAD for. AutoCAD program cover a broad range of
application. That’s why you can easily find specific programs for your area of
interest, architectural, mechanical, civil, aeronautical or electrical drawing.
Ensure that your computer meets the program’s system
requirements like 2 GB RAM, 2 GB of space for installation, screen resolution
of 1,024*768, internet explorer 7.0 or higher
Install the AutoCAD program. Before uses of CAD program you
have to install with step by step instruction from the installation wizard. It
takes maximum 30 minutes to complete. After installation you can save the icon
on your desktop. Double-click the icon whenever you want to start the program.
Familiarize yourself with how to navigate through AutoCAD.
The workspace in AutoCAD is divided into 2 different areas. One is the drawing
area covers most of the screen and toolbars are anchored above and below the
drawing area. They include:
Application Button.
The large, red A at the top, left-hand corner of the screen is the application
button. Use it to print files and to exit the program.
Quick-access toolbar.
This toolbar sits next to the application button and contains common commands
like”save” and “open”.
Ribbon- located
below the quick-access toolbar the ribbon is comprised of a series of tabs.
That contain groups of standard commands and tools.
Status bar. The
toolbar across the bottom of the screen is the status bar. It mostly consists
of control settings that allow you to monitor changes in the drawing.
Comman/prompt toolbar.
Directly above the status bar is the command/prompt toolbar. This is where the
software communicates with you.
To Create a new drawing. From the quick-access toolbar,
click”file”, and then “new”. The specific settings for a drawing, select
“templates” under the options dialog box.
Draw simple figure- master simple techniques in AutoCAD and
practice fundamental skills before moving on to complex drawings.
Experiment with other drawing options. Learn to draw other shapes and figures like
arcs and rectangles, and master other important functions, like erase, change
line types and add colors.
AutoCAD is a computer-aided drafting software program used
for creating blueprints buildings, bridges and computer chips.
